Though I was born and bred in Wadsworth, Ohio, I have always called myself a Cleveland native and have recently found a home in University Heights, Ohio at John Carroll University. As a Marketing Major and Entrepreneurship and Peace, Justice, & Human Rights Double Minor I have been able to focus my passion and energy into the things I love thanks to my new home at John Carroll. I pride myself in my ability to hold myself true to those things that I love and to exemplify leadership, service, and imagination in my everyday life.
- Leadership. Throughout everything I do, I try to shine as a leader. In my scholarship program, I am set in a service leadership setting, learning from leaders and being a leader in the committees I sit on. I have held two positions in my sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, one of which was executive, that I held as a freshman. I was able to spend a week at the Ignatian Solidarity Network run University Leader's Summit where I was able to talk to and work with leaders from Jesuit colleges across the country to find new ideas to implement at John Carroll. I am trying to learn from leaders around me and grow as I take on new leadership roles in the organizations I am a part of.
- Service. A huge part of who I am revolves around focusing my life on others. Not only did I participate in service in high school, but I was a lucky member of the Arrupe Scholars Program, a service leadership program at John Carroll. On top of the service done with that, I have done weekly service every semester I've been at John Carroll, first with Youthability, an organization that works with the developmentally disabled, and most recently Carroll Ballers, a program that collaborates with the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center. I have even had the great opportunity to travel to Guatemala with International Samaritan and John Carroll on a two-week immersion trip.
- Imagination. As an entrepreneurship minor, I have been able to explore my creativity and imagination in my classes and competitions outside of the classroom. As a music lover, I have been glad to join the John Carroll radio station, WJCU and have found new ways to find music awithin Cleveland. I have had the opportunities to expand my imagination in new uncharted territories that are in and outside of my box.
